Learning French is not easy, but Stephanie makes it a joy. Her prices make private instruction affordable and working on Zoom makes it easy to be in a French classroom no matter where you are. After each lesson she updates your personal google document so you always have a record of what you’ve learned and what you need to study. Stephanie’s French lessons are easily accessible, her teaching method is geared to your level and learning style, she is personally engaging and a joy to spend an hour with weekly or daily or as often as you can make time for a lesson.

Stéphanie and I have worked together on my French skills for a year. She is very patient and knowledgeable about the unique nuances between the English and French languages but above all she is so kind and a pleasure to work with even when it’s very intimidating to try to learn a new language. I love the fact that she writes everything down in a Google sheet so that when you remember something we worked on, I can go back and re-visit the topic. She also has fun and interactive conversational topics that forces me to not only think about the question, but then trying to put it into a sentence. Every lesson, we laugh about something stereotypical for both countries. I highly recommend Stéphanie for your French lessons!

I have been taking French conversation classes with Stéphanie for about nine months now, and I can’t say enough good things about her. She goes above and beyond to tailor lesson plans toward helping me improve where I need it most. And she brings a light touch that makes her classes fun and low stress. It also doesn’t hurt that she has the patience of a saint when it comes to difficult concepts that I can’t seem to wrap my head around (like le subjoncitf, ugh!). Her approach is definitely working; the proof is that I recently passed the DELF B2, which I could have never done if it hadn’t been for her dedication. In short, I wouldn’t have the slightest hesitation in giving her my highest recommendation.

Over the past several years I’ve experienced a number of French teachers and Stéphanie is definitely the best. She is a native speaker who is equipped with a comprehensive knowledge of French grammar and vocabulary. She is at all times very professional and yet is someone who is exceptionally patient and kind in her manner whilst striving to push you to do your best. Stéphanie is also highly adept at methodically coaching students toward the Delf exams. I wouldn’t hesitate in booking a lesson with Stéphanie!

I cannot recommend Stéphanie’s French lessons highly enough. Starting from scratch, I was able to comfortably pass my A2 test with approximately 40-50 hours of lessons (as opposed to official estimates of needing 200+). She is extremely patient, responsive, encouraging, and always ready to answer questions or structure classes to suit specific needs. The proof is in the pudding as I have recommended her to several of my friends who have all unequivocally come to form the same opinion of her.

Hello,
I am located in Paris and working for a French company so I started looking for a personal tutor who could teach me French virtually.
I found Stéphanie’s website very honest and I thought of trying it.
I booked a few lessons first from her and after that I am constantly getting tutored by her because of following :
1) She is a very humble and patient teacher
2) It is very easy to speak with her and she makes easy for the non-native french speakers to understand the difficult pronunciation.
3) She is very approachable

My husband and I love our French classes with Stephanie ! He and I started our French-language journeys from different points. My husband was an absolute beginner, so Stephanie started him on the basics, presented in a fun and engaging way. I had studied French for a while in college, decades ago, and I assumed I had forgotten everything I’d learned. But Stephanie did a great job of assessing what I had managed to retain from my college French classes and then designed a lesson plan around that, so I didn’t have to start all over again. Every lessons provides an opportunity to build conversation and listening skills, as well as grammar and lessons and vocabulary presented in a very clear manner. After working with Stephanie for just a couple of months, I have complete strangers complimenting me on my French !

Learning with Stephanie is fun, interactive and super useful for building up your confidence and vocabulary to be able to speak and have conversations in French. She is attentive and accomodating to your learning level and pace, which takes a little pressure off as it can sometimes be quite overwhelming learning a language as an adult! But she is super encouraging.

Talking with a native French speaker is incredibly helpful in improving one’s French. Stephanie makes it easy, fun and impactful. Talking with Stephanie a couple times a week has made a huge difference in my comprehension and also in my ability to speak French and improve my skills. Notes are provided on the topics we discussed, phrases clarified, new words learned etc., allowing me to review that between sessions. I am so grateful to have found the “learn French with Stef” program!
